Down at the Farm today we were learning all about Pumpkins.
We learned about how they have special leaves to help get them out of the seed, then they grow and they grow really big. they have boy flowers and girl flowers, only the girl flowers turn into pumpkins though.
We then went into the field and planted a small pumpkin plant, I loved digging the hole and planting the plant.
We then headed back to the outdoor classroom to learn about sunflowers, they can grow really tall.
We planted our very own sunflower to take home and grow, it was lots of fun playing in the soil.
After all that planting we went to the strawberry tunnels to pick some lovely strawberries for our tea, yum yum
